Mike Woolnough won the Race to Cradock, which formed part of the Freedom Challenge, in Cradock recently.
Woolnough finished the 575km, non-stop and self-navigated mountain bike race that started in Rhodes, in a time of 46 hours and 30 minutes.

This was the third fastest time in the event’s history and the winner’s new personal best.
Woolnough only had seven minutes sleep to get him through his flawless race.
Jurjen Draaijer came in second, while Ingrid Avidon, who was plagued with mechanicals and navigational mishaps, claimed third.
Riders were allowed a maximum of six days to complete the ride.
