Jumbo-Visma’s Primož Roglic won the Tirreno-Adriatico by a single second after the tour ended with an individual time-trial in San Benedetto del Tronto today.
Mitchelton-Scott’s Adam Yates led the race since his team won the team time-trial on stage one, but the Slovenian managed to snatch the title away from him after making up just enough time in the ITT today.

“It was unbelieveably close. I don’t know [where I made up the time]. I was lucky in the end,” Roglic said afterwards.
“I felt strong on the way back. I tried to make a difference and really go for it and I really pushed until the finish line.”
Lotto Soudal’s Victor Campenaerts won the 10km ITT in 11:23. Roglic finished 11th in 11:36, beating Yates’ time of 12:02, enough to surpass the Briton on the GC.
