Dutch cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten won the Liège-Bastogne-Liège women’s race with a solo attack when it ended in Liège, Belgium, today.
The Mitchelton-Scott rider, who placed second at Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race and Flèche Wallonne, completed the 135.5km course in 3:42:10.
Floortje Mackaij (Team Sunweb Women) placed second, with Demi Vollering (Parkhotel Valkenburg) third.
South African Ashleigh Moolman Pasio (CCC-Liv) had to abandon the race.
