Father and son duo Casper and Casper-John Venter won the Race to Willowmore, which formed part of the Freedom Challenge, on Friday.
They completed the 554km non-stop and self-navigated mountain bike race that started in Cradock in two days, 21 hours and 29 minutes.

The 17-year-old Casper-John managed all the navigation and carried the bulk of the gear.
The two were on track to break the record before getting stuck in the Osseberg, which forced them to wait for daybreak before continuing.
Riders tackled a wide variety of off-road terrain that included dirt roads, farm roads, old historical wagon routes and animal tracks.
