Daryl Impey is the top South African rider in the UCI Africa Nation rankings that were released by the UCI Africa Tour yesterday.
The national road and time-trial champion defended his Tour Down Under title at the beginning of the year and shortly afterwards placed third in the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.
Dimension Data’s Ryan Gibbons and Reinardt Janse van Rensburg place second and third respectively.
Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, who recently podiumed at the Tour of California, is the top SA rider in the UCI Road Olympic Qualification Women rankings.
Maroesjka Matthee is second, with Joanna van de Winkel third.
