South African Greg Minnaar won the silver medal in the elite men’s downhill race at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Leogang, Austria, today.
The race was won by Frenchman Loic Brune in a time of 3:16.132, with Minnaar finishing in 3:16.456.
Australian Troy Brosnan won the bronze medal.
Australia’s Tracey Hannah claimed the women’s title in 3:42.107, with Germany’s Nina Hoffman second.
New Zealand’s Kate Weatherly completed the podium.
