Alvaro Jose Hodeg won stage two of the Adriatica Ionica Race in Grado yesterday.
The Deceuninck-Quick-Step completed the 189km stage, which started in Venezia, in 4:09:58.
His teammates Florian Senechal and Philippe Gilbert placed second and third respectively.
Hodeg also took the overall lead.
“I want to share this win with all my teammates,” he said.
“We controlled the front of the peloton for the whole day. I even crashed twice today, at the beginning of the stage and then with 25km to go. Nevertheless, we managed to win”.
