The Canyon-SRAM women’s team won the opening 18km team time trial at the Giro Rosa in Castellania yesterday.
The team, who consisted of Alena Amialiusik, Hannah Barnes, Omer Shapira, Tiffany Cromwell, Katarzyna Niewiadoma and Alexis Ryan completed their race in a time of 31:41.
Bigla Pro Cycling Team (Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig, Elizabeth Banks, Leah Thomas, Elise Chabbey, Mikayla Harvey and Nikola Noskova) placed second.
CCC-Liv (Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, Marianne Vos, Paulien Rooijakkers, Jeanne Korevaar, Marta Lach and Riejanne Markus) completed the podium.
