Damion Gomez won the 40km race on day one of the Sondela MTB Challenge at the Sondela Nature Reserve in Bela-Bela today.
He claimed a winning time of 1:25:13, with Andre Potgieter and Dehon Smith second and third respectively.
The women’s race was won by Lourene Dreyer in 1:36:08, while Rune du Plessis finished second and Salome Kolbe third.
The 20km men’s and women’s races were won by Potgieter and Andriel de Lange respectively.
