Timothy Dupont rode to victory on the opening stage of the Tour de Wallonie in Dottignies, Belgium, today.The Belgian cyclist claimed a winning time of 4:22:44 in the 186.4km stage.
Compatriot Roy Jans finished second, followed by Italian Jakub Mareczko.
South Africa’s Willie Smit finished 27th in the race that started in Le Roeulx.
