South Africa’s Greg Minnaar came seventh in the elite men’s downhill race at the UCI MTB World Cup in Les Gets, France, today.
France’s Amaury Pierron claimed the title while fellow countryman Loic Bruni and Britain’s Laurie Greenland rounded out the podium.
Australia’s Tracey Hannah won the women’s event ahead of France’s Marine Cabirou and El Salvador’s Mariana Salazar.
Frenchman Thibaut Daprela claimed the junior men’s title when he beat Canadians Patrick Laffey and Seth Sherlock to the finish.
Austria’s Valentina Holl was the first junior woman to finish while America’s Anna Newkirk and France’s Lauryne Chappaz placed second and third respectively.
