South African Gert Fouche set a new UCI Masters World Hour Record at the Aguascalientes Velodrome in Mexico yesterday.
The 39-year-old set the new record at a distance of 51.599km for his 35-39 category, compared to Australian James Ogilvie’s record that was 49.514km, set at the Darebin International Sports Centre in Australia on March 9, 2018.
The hour record is set according to the longest distance cycled in one hour from a stationary start.
Earlier in the week, Fouche also set two new individual pursuit records at the same venue.
