Shaun-Nick Bester came out on top in the men’s 112km mountain bike race at the Magalies Citrus Gravel Xpress in Gauteng today.
Bester, who set a time of 4:05:21, came in ahead of Carl Lotter (4:14:41) and Alain Slabbert (4:15:33).
The women’s title went to Fiddy Gey van Pittius (4:52:37) while Lauren Hattingh (5:19:34) and Heather Slabbert (5:28:34) finished second and third respectively.
Robert Pearse (3:33:25) won the 95km men’s event. He was followed home by Jacques Human (3:44:50) and Ulrich Roux (3:54:10).
The women’s race saw Lientjie Scholtz (4:22:52) secure the victory. Second was Kirstin Simpson (4:26:15) with Mia van Rooyen (4:32:48) in third.
