Tuhoto-Ariki Pene secured the junior men’s downhill title at the UCI MTB World Cup in Val di Sole, Italy, today.
The New Zeeland rider finished in 4:09, beating Slovenian Zak Gomilscek by a whisker. Australian Kye A’hern had to settle for third when he came in one minute later.
Norway’s Mille Johnset was crowned the women’s winner after she completed the event in 5:06. Austrian Valentina Holl (5:07) finished second with American Anna Newkirk (5:33) rounding out the podium.
