This year’s Africa Cup, which was scheduled to take place from October 10 to 13 in Port Elizabeth, has been postponed, as announced by Cycling South Africa today.
Due to the event’s timing, the number of confirmed federations able to attend is not at the desired level.
The event was aimed at uplifting the sport on the continent and assisting African nations to gather points towards qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020.
The cycling body will announce the way forward in due course.
