Cycling legend Eddy Merckx has left the hospital five days after being admitted to intensive care following a fall during a bike ride last week Sunday.
He is now resting and recovering at home, according to a report on sporza.
The 74-year-old Belgium sustained a major head injury due to his crash and was rushed to the hospital in Dendermonde.
Merckx, who is a five-time Tour de France winner, is regarded as the most successful cyclist of all time.
