WG van der Walt secured the victory at The Hills Challenge in Montagu, Western Cape, today.
He beat Hermias Vollgraaff and Angeloo Mauries to the finish line of the 65km men’s mountain bike race.
Monique du Plessis was the first woman home, while Irma Theron followed in second.
Heine Beukes won the 48km men’s race. Phillip Laff took second ahead of Francois de Wet.
The women’s victory went to Nienke Mostert, while Marian Nel and Lizzy Joubert completed the podium.
