Timothy Hammond claimed the solo men’s title at The U MTB Stage Race in Piketberg, Western Cape, today.
Hammond, who won the prologue as well as stage one and two, beat Oli Munnik and Robert Sim into second and third.
Michelle Lombardi claimed victory in the solo women’s event ahead of Tanya Rabie and Lizl Hobson.
Carel Vosloo and James Reid were the men’s team competition winners. Tim Ellerbeck and Warren Price placed second, with Eben Espach and Linus Vanonselen third.
Megan Skowno and Ingrid Peens won the women’s team race.
The mixed event winners were Linda and Gareth Hitchings, while Adrienne and Anton Moolman came second. Aileen Anderson and Walter Brosius placed third.
