Kevin Benkenstein was the first rider to reach the first Munga race village at Vanderkloof Dam yesterday evening.
Benkenstein reached the village, which was 219km from the start, after nine hours and 51 minutes.
Marco Martins was the second rider to reach the destination, while Sithembiso Masango was the third.
The first woman to reach the village was Janine Stewart, who arrived nearly two hours ahead of Aryna Edwards.
