Chris Jooste was the first South African to finish stage one of the Tour of Quanzhou Bay road race in Quanzhou, China, today.
Jooste, who came ninth in the 101.4km race, finished 10 seconds behind stage winner Mykhaylo Kononenko.
Ryan Cavanagh claimed the second spot on the podium, while Aiman Cahyadi took third.
