Rudy Barbier (Israel Start-Up Nation) sprinted to victory on stage one of the Vuelta a San Juan that finished in San Juan, Argentina, yesterday.
The Frenchman completed the 163.5km stage in 3:45:14, beating Manuel Belletti (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) into second. Tomas Contte (Municipalidad de Pocito) claimed third.
Barbier took the first leader’s jersey of the seven-stage tour. Belletti is second overall and Contte third.
