The substitution process closed on February 20, which is the only way to legally take over another participant’s number.
The start venue for the 109km race – which takes place on Sunday, March 8 – is at the Grand Parade Precinct, while the finish venue is at the Cape Town Stadium.
A decision was made to postpone the short route option until 2021, which means the 109km race will be the only distance offered in 2020. The first batch will start at 6.15am.
This year’s race will sport a separate e-bike category for the first time.
The Cape Town Cycle Tour Junior Tour takes place at the Green Point Stadium on Sunday. There are 1.2km, 4km and 7km route options.
