Just more than a year has passed since the crash on January 20 in which a minibus taxi drove into a group of cyclists on the M4 south bound just before the M27 Umdloti off-ramp.
Durban’s Diedericks died in hospital, while Senzo Memela and Takashi Yaegashi sustained minor injuries.
Last year the case was thrown out of court due to a lack of evidence.
Stay Wider of the Rider has been in contact with the SAPS provincial commissioner’s office in KZN and are hopeful that the outstanding post-mortem report will be forwarded to the SAPS soon.
