Frenchman Benjamin Thomas won the men’s omnium on day four of the Track Cycling World Championships in Berlin, Germany, yesterday.
The Netherlands’ Jan Willem van Schip won the silver medal, while Great Britain’s Matthew Walls settled for bronze.
The women’s 500m time-trial was won by Germany’s Lea Sophie Friedrich. Mexico’s Jessica Salazar Valles came second and Italian Miriam Vece placed third.
The Dutch team won the women’s madison. France and Italy claimed second and third respectively.
The women’s individual pursuit was won by American Chloe Dygert, who beat Germany’s Lisa Brennauer into second. Fellow countrywoman Franziska Brausse completed the podium.
