According to the European Cycling Union and Italian organisers Trentino Marketing, the event, originally scheduled from September 9 to 13, will now take place in early September next year.
A final decision about the date will be made by the International Cycling Union (UCI) once the new season’s calendar has been completed.
“Having acknowledged the consequences of the pandemic outbreak in the last few weeks, we are pleased with an outcome that satisfies everybody,” said Trentino Marketing CEO Maurizio Rossini.
“It also puts us in the position to set up the event at its best and produce the greatest redemption from both the technical and the promotional sides.”
