Matt Beers cruised to victory at the Brewery to Brewery mountain bike race that took riders from Greyton in the Overberg to Hermanus via the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley on Sunday.
The 26-year-old NanoTime pro, who won the Race to the Sun earlier this month, finished the 85km event in 2:48:00. He was followed home by former pro Lourens Luus and Jaco Davel.
Nicky Giliomee won the women’s race in 3:35:00 ahead of Sarita Louw and Jeannie de Villiers.
