Jason Peach braced the elements to win a shortened version of the Trans Elands MTB Marathon on Saturday.
The 33-year-old from East London, who showed his appetite for endurance races when he won the Maloti 100 Miler last year, took the wet conditions in his stride to ride to a comfortable victory over Patrick Brown and Bradley Bosman.
Kelsey van Schoor won the women’s race.
The race is part of the seven-event 100 Miler Series, but was shortened to 60km due to the lockdown.
