Pieter du Toit raced to victory in the the Midvaal 100 Miler mountain and gravel bike event in Meyerton yesterday.
The pro from Pyga-Euro Steel, who placed third in the Trailseeker Legends MX race last month, finished the 160km solo event in 4:11:24. ProTouch’s Calvin Beneke was second in 4:12:51 with Martin Pieterse third in 4:22:10.
Sarah Hill, second overall at the recent sani2c Race alongside Theresa Ralph, won the women’s race in 4:50:25. Danielle Strydom (5:04:44) and Bonny Swanepoel (5:06:00) placed second and third respectively.
