This year’s African Continental Road Championships will continue as scheduled in Egypt.
The annual event to determine the men’s, women’s and U23 road and time-trial champions on the continent is due to start on March 2.
Cycling South Africa confirmed it will announce the team to represent the country “next week”.
South Africa boasts an enviable record at the championship with victories for Robbie Hunter, Louis Meintjes, Ashleigh Moolman and Cherise Willeit among others since the first event in 2005.
