Ardennes classics Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege will revert to their usual European spring slots on the 2021 UCI calendar.
Fleche Wallonne returns to its traditional start in Charleroi and will culminate, as always, with a showdown up the Mur de Huy. The 85th edition of the race will take place on April 21.
Last year’s race, which was delayed until September 30 due to Covid-19, was won by UAE Team Emirates’ Marc Hirschi.
Liege-Bastogne-Liege, which was rescheduled for early October last year, will be held on April 25.
Jumbo-Visma’s Primoz Roglic will defend his title in what will be the 107th edition of the race.
In addition to the men’s races, the UCI today confirmed that a women’s race for both classics will also take place on the same day.
Anna van der Breggen (Fleche Wallonne) and Lizzie Deignan (Bastogne-Liege) will defend their titles.
