Cycling South Africa’s initial team selected for the 2021 African Continental Track Championships was hit by a number of withdrawals.
The annual championships will take place from March 10 to 13 in Cairo, Egypt.
Subsequently more riders withdrew leaving the final squad significantly smaller in number than last year’s one.
As a result, a number of riders will be kept busy during the four days of racing.
However, despite the smaller contingent, the team still boasts a number of medal contenders, particularly in the men’s elite and junior ladies categories.
