The cycling season gets serious today as Paris-Nice gets underway featuring No 1-ranked UCI rider, Slovenian Primoz Roglic.
Paris-Nice will attempt to roll all the challenges of a Grand Tour into just eight stages and is an early marker of who is hot and who is not.
British outfit Ineos are likely to mount the most serious challenge and head into the race with two potential team leaders in Giro d’Italia winner Tao Geoghegan Hart and new recruit Richie Porte.
Roglic, meanwhile, has done no racing so far this season, but is in an upbeat mood.
