The second stage of PE Plett ended in a sprint finish at the Assegaaibosch Country Lodge in Kareedouw today.
Typedev-Nanotime duo Matt Beers and Wessel Botha took the win and assumed the overall lead of the four-day race.
Stage one winners Marco Joubert and Rudi Koen (Imbuko Giant) had to settle for the runners-up spot and slipped to second in the standings.
Both teams were given the same finishing time of 2:24:57 for the 63km route.
