Slovakian star Peter Sagan has elected to delay the start of his 2021 season and will not take to the start of Strade Bianche on Saturday.
Instead of racing the popular Italian classic over the white roads of Tuscany, the seven-time Tour de France green jersey winner will make his return to competitive cycling at next week’s Tirreno-Adriatico from March 10 to 16.
Sagan has not raced since last year’s Giro d’Italia.
