No South African cyclist boasts more SA National Road Championships victories than Daryl Impey.
The Johannesburg-born all-rounder has won the national road race title twice and is a nine-time national time-trial champion, including eight consecutive wins between 2013 and 2020.
In addition to his road race triumphs in 2018 and 2019, Impey also finished as the runner-up on four occasions, including at last year’s event behind Ryan Gibbons.
The 36-year-old also has a win (2003) and a second-place finish (2004) in the U23 road race.
Impey first won the national time-trial in 2011 before rattling off an incredible eight-straight wins against the clock from 2013 onwards.
