The 2021 SA National Road Championships will be missing a familiar name on the start line later this week.
Defending elite women’s individual time-trial and road race champion Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio was not among the list of entrants confirmed for the championships by Cycling South Africa.
Moolman-Pasio is a five-time time-trial winner and six-time South African road race champion, making her the most decorated rider in terms of national titles.
In addition, she has two runner-up finishes in the time-trial as well a second and third place finish in the road race.
