An unfortunate incident with his time-trial bike has inspired Kent Main to perform in the road race when the SA National Road Championships get underway in Swellendam tomorrow.
The ProTouch rider competed in the African Continental Road Championships earlier this month and while he successfully made the trip back from Cairo, Egypt, his time-trial bike did not.
This left Main out on a limb with the national champs looming, but he has managed to borrow a time-trial machine from a friend for tomorrow’s race. While he was grateful for the loaned bike, he said he’d had only one ride on it.
