South Africa’s greatest ever wheelchair athlete, Ernst van Dyk, added to his long list of achievements in the sport with victory in the para-cycling road race H5 category at the SA National Road Championships in Swellendam today.
The soon-to-be 48-year-old Paarl-based Van Dyk has been a prolific race and medal winner for South Africa over the years at Paralympic Games and World Championships level, as well as on the streets of New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Boston in particular.
