Combrinck (EAI Cycling) heads the standings after four rounds but will need a strong finish in the 70km Diamond Rush to remain in contention for the title.

He will have to fend off serious challenges from Thinus Redlinghuys, William Mokgopo (Kargo Pro) and Pierre Smith (Team Jeep), who currently lie second, third and fourth on GC respectively.
Women’s series leader Theresa Ralph (Galileo Risk) will be difficult to unseat but will need another podium finish to retain her grip on the crown after winning round four and taking the runner-up spot in the preceding two rounds.
Her nearest rivals are Team Bestmed-ASG’s double threat of Michelle Benson and Mariette Hattingh as well as Adrienne Moolman.
Although national marathon champ Robyn de Groot (Ascendis Health) will be a danger on race day, she has not participated in enough races to vie for the overall honours.
