Mountain biking fans can keep track of their family, friends and all the action from the 2016 FNB Wines2Whales, which is currently taking place in the Western Cape.
The event kicks off with the Adventure from October 31 to November 2. The Ride follows from November 3 to 5 before the Race wraps things up between November 7 and 9.
Spectator points are available on every stage of the three-day route, which is the same for all three versions of the event, as follows:
Day 1: Lourensford Wine Estate to Oak Valley Wine Estate
Start: Lourenford Wine Estate (GPS co-ordinates: 34°11.118″S – 19°05.888″E)
Batches depart at 10-minute intervals from 7am.
Waterpoint 2: Da Capo Recreational Area (GPS co-ordinates: 34°6’19.14”S – 18°56’28.55”E)
Riders expected roughly two-and-a-half hours after the start.
Finish: Oak Valley Wine Estate (GPS co-ordinates: 34°09’18.61”S – 19°02’46.93”E)
Riders are expected around four hours after the start.
Day 2: Oak Valley Wine Estate to Oak Valley Wine Estate
Start/Finish: Oak Valley Wine Estate (GPS co-ordinates: 34°09’18.61”S – 19°02’46.93”E)
Batches depart at 10-minute intervals from 7am. First riders are expected to finish approximately three-and-a-half hours after the start.
Waterpoint 2: Paul Cluver Amphitheatre (GPS co-ordinates: 34°10’1.79”S – 19°5’24.52”E)
Day 3: Oak Valley Wine Estate to Onrus

Spectator point: Onrus beach (GPS co-ordinates: 34°25’07.17”S – 19°10’42.59”E)
Finish: Onrus beach (GPS co-ordinates: 34°24’59.82”S – 19°10’23.13”E)
The spectator point will be the PERI spectator pavillion next to the ocean. Riders should finish roughly four hours after the start.
