Dirk Kotze and Marius Bronkhorst will be taking part in the Liberty Winelands Encounter as J9 Foundation to raise awareness of motor neurone disease (MND), a sickness which Springbok rugby legend Joost van der Westhuizen passed away from.
Kotze has represented the J9 Foundation in a few races in the last three years, including the Cape Epic, focusing on creating awareness of MND rather than raising funds.
He talks about the foundation, how he got involved with the team and foundation as well as what he and his partner hopes to achieve at the event.
