Chris Wolhuter won the men’s solo race on stage one of the Greyt Escape, which started at Old Potter’s Inn in Greyton today.

Wolhuter finished the 59km race ahead of James Tennent (2:27:58) and Warren Robertson (2:33:08).
The women’s solo race was won by Nadia Visser in 2:46:56. She was followed by Kate Slegrova (3:04:41) and Ilse Viljoen (3:07:43).
Andrew Reaper and Michael Lambrecht claimed honours in the men’s team category with Andre Joubert and Raoul Hamman coming in second. Third on the day were Paul Benson and Dylan Janos.
Taking the win in the mixed team category were Craig and Christine Woods. They were followed by Marc Kerr and Marie-Christin Kempf with Duncan Carmichael and Megan Warner rounding out the podium.
The ladies team event saw Amy Burton and Joanne Bentley take the win. Gail Haupt and Leigh Mitchell finished second with Bonita Malherbe and Liezel Coetzee in third.
