Simon Spilak added a second Tour de Suisse title to his name as the tour wrapped up in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, today.
The Katusha-Alpecin leader completed the nine-day event in 28:37:11 to beat BMC’s Damiano Caruso by 48 seconds and LottoNl-Jumbo’s Steven Kruijswijk by 1:08 in the overall standings.
The Slovenian, who finished fifth in the 28.6km final stage time-trial, had to defend a relatively comfortable 52-second lead after climbing to victory on stage seven.

BMC’s Rohan Dennis won the time-trial in 36:30 ahead of teammates Stefan Küng and Caruso.
