Wessel Botha and Samantha Sanders were crowned champions of the 947 Mountain Bike Challenge that took place to and from Riversands Commercial Park in Johannesburg today.
Botha, who recently delivered a top 10 result at Wines2Whales, was the first to cross the line after he competed the technical 55km course in 1:55:40. Jan Withaar and Pieter du Toit finished second and third respectively to complete the podium.
Sanders won the women’s race after she too had a strong performance last weekend. She held of Theresa Ralph and Danielle Strydom to take top honours.
