Matt Beers will serve in a rotational role at his newly signed team, NAD Pro, for the 2018 season.
Beers will form a fierce combination with Nico Bell, overall winner of the Gauteng TrailSeeker, and his partner, Gawie Combrinck.
Bell and Combrinck have been in imposing form this year. They were on the podium after the Cape Pioneer Trek (2nd overall), 3 Towers sub-vets category (1st overall), joBerg2c (2nd overall), Berg and Bush Descent (2nd overall) and Wines2Whales Race (3rd overall).

Beers teamed up with Alan Hatherly and the two won the overall Cape Pioneer Trek and finished fourth in the Wines2Whales Race. Now he hopes to bolster NAD Pro as a rotational switch.
“Nico and I got talking at the York Timbers Enduro and we thought it would be a good idea,” Beers said yesterday.
“To have three riders rotating, instead of two racing throughout, could improve our chances.
“One of us would always be fresh. For the next race we could rotate again, depending on which one feels strongest.”
Beers has known Bell and Combrinck for a long time. “They’re great guys and they’ve always been genuinely good to me.
“They’re the type you can count on in a race. That’s why they have built up so much respect.”
Beers, 23, said the deal with NAD Pro had been finalised after the Cape Pioneer event and he was excited about the year ahead.
“The atmosphere in the team is great. I feel they’ll help me unleash my full potential.
“NAD is the real deal. I can’t ask for better back-up, support and equipment.
“I’ll have no excuse not to do well. This should be one of the most exciting years of my career,” he added.
