This year’s Stellenbosch Cycle Tour was won by Rohan du Plooy and Liezel Jordaan in the Western Cape yesterday. See the action in the photos below that were taken by Sam Clark.
Team Giant’s Du Plooy claimed the win in wet racing conditions in a time of 2:16:14. Specialized Craig Boyes and Namibia’s Dan Craven completed the podium.
Route 62 Cycles’ Jordaan finished the 97km route in 2:31:35, with Katie Lennard and Lucy James taking second and third.
There were more than 5 000 cyclists that lined up to take part in the final premier seeding event for next year’s Cape Town Cycle Tour.
