Canyon Topeak/ETW’s Robert Hobson and Erik Kleinhans won the prologue stage of the Knysna Bull in the Western Cape yesterday.
The winning pair claimed a time of 11:49 after the 6.5km stage. Insect Science’s Alan Gordon and Timothy Hammond placed second with a time of 12:16, while Bike Shop – Scott – Strocam placed third in 12:34.

Dylan Rebello won the men solo category with a time of 12:04. Shan Wilson and Robert Sim completed the podium in 12:35 and 13:24 respectively.
Helderberg Cycle World’s Hanna Winberg and Anneke Viljoen won the women’s category in 17:12. The second team was Muffin Mate Ladies’ Brenda-Lynn Nell and Karen Fannin in 19:23.
The women solo win went to Theresa Ralph who finished in 14:10. 2. Antionette du Preez was the second placed lady with a time of 15:16, while Audrey Kritzinger claimed third in 16:28.
Team Cape Brewing Company’s Jennie Stenerhag and Craig Gerber won the mixed team category in 13:28. Second place went to Catherine & Kristof’s Kristof De Neys and Catherine Williamson who finished in 13:49. The third-placed finishers were Crank and Crankier’s Nicky Giliomee and Tony Haralambous in 13:59.
