Early bird entries for next year’s Cape Epic instantaneously sold out a day after the 2018 edition wrapped up.
There were 100 entrants who secured a slot for next year’s eight-day race taking place from March 17.
Those who did not get their hands on an early bird entry can potentially book their place through the lottery application system, which opened on the Cape Epic website.

Successful applicants will know by the beginning of June if they will be part of the 2019 experience.
Other ways to get your hands on a potential entry is by being a volunteer, supporting one of the official charities or registering for one of the qualifier races – Swiss Epic or The Pioneer.
This year’s event was won by Investec Songo Specialized’s Jaroslav Kulhavy and Howard Grotts, while Annika Langvad and Kate Courtney won the women’s category.
The African men’s special jersey went to PYGA Euro Steel’s Matthys Beukes and Julian Jessop, with team dormakaba’s Candice Lill and Amy Beth Mcdougall won the inaugural women’s trophy.
