Investec-Songo-Specialized’s Jaroslav Kulhavy and Howard Grotts won the overall title of this year’s Cape Epic after the final stage that finished at Val de Vie in the Western Cape, today.
The pair claimed a total time of 25:29:48, with Canyon Topeark’s Alban Lakata and Kristian Hynek taking second overall. Buff Scott MTB’s Francesc Guerra Carretero and Luis Leao Pinto finished in third place.

The 70km stage was won by Trek Selle San Marco’s Fabian Rabensteiner and Michele Casagrande, with Grotts and Kulhavy in second and Guerra Carretero and Leao Pinto in third.
Investec-Songo-Specialized’s Annika Langvad and Kate Courtney won the overall women’s title, with Ascendis Health’s Sabine Spitz and Robyn de Groot in second, while Silverback-KMC’s Mariske Strauss and Annie Last finished in third.
The final stage win went to PMRA/CST Racing’s Margot Moschetti and Ralza Goulao. Team dormakaba’s Candice Lill and Amy Beth Mcdougall, who won the overall African women’s special jersey, finished in second, with Spitz and De Groot completing the podium.
PYGA Euro Steel’s Matthys Beukes and Julian Jesssop won the African men’s special jersey, while dormakaba’s Candice Lill and Amy Beth Mcdougall took the win for the women.
