Team Sky’s David de la Cruz won the 110km final Paris-Nice stage that finished in Nice today, while Movistar’s Marc Soler took the overall title.

Astana Pro Team’s Omar Fraile finished just behind De la Cruz, while the Paris-Nice winner finished in third.
Soler, who also won the young rider classification, was officially named the overall champion, beating Mitchelton-Scott’s Simon Yates by four seconds in the end. Bahrain-Merida’s Gorka Izagirre claimed third place.
“It’s a dream. I’ve never won a WorldTour race before. I’m really happy,” said Soler, who just secured the biggest win of his career thus far.
